Description
The unique collection of handmade dolls includes 39 figures and 52 items.
The idea of creating and embodying diaries belongs to the author Olga Ugnivenko. The idea is based on a wedding event in Kyiv region, where the newlyweds invited guests from all over Ukraine. The guests came from 25 regions, each of them dressed in a suit typical of this region. The exposition reveals the wedding ceremony, where each character has his own role and character.
The Wedding collection includes:
- 39 handmade dolls in Ukrainian costumes of the late XIX and early XX centuries, made of polymer clay, height of each - 23 - 24 cm, decorated with special paints, beaded necklaces and colored ribbons. The dolls are made in accordance with the descriptions of Ukrainian costume sets of the book ′Spiritual Treasure of the Ukrainian People′ by Tamara Ugnivenko and Olga Ugnivenko, who won first place in the All-Ukrainian competition ′Best Book of Ukraine 2012′ in the nomination ′My Country′ (book attached);
- 52 objects (picture of the village, musical instruments, furniture, household items, animals, plants, models of dishes). , ′Red Heat′, ′Pink Dreams′, ′Love and know your homeland!′.
In 2020, the collection set the record of Ukraine as the largest collection of handmade dolls in the thematic exhibition.
